Feb 25 Updated: Kruger National Park

We get up early and visit Moholoholo Wildlife Rehab Center where animals are re-educated to be released back into the wild. The Center is quite fascinating and we learn about how animals are treated, captured and released back into the wild.

From the Center, we enter world famous Kruger National Park. Kruger is huge, approximately 5 million acres, and is unrivalled in the diversity of its life forms. We enter the Park through Phabeni Gate and will be spending the first night at SKUKUZA complex. We spend 5 hours on a safari drive within Kruger and see zebra, giraffe, impala herds, elephant, kudu and wildebeest...nothing that I haven't seen but it was all breathtaking to see these animals in the wild.

We register at the Skukuza camping complex and I have a great cottage with frig, stove and A/C. I'm pleased with the accommodations. Go to bed early...have  a game safari that begins at 6 AM tomorrow
